UKCA Marking to BS EN 1090-1 became a legal requirement on all manufactured structural steel products on 1st July 2014, to certify that fabricated structural steelwork complies with all relevant UK standards and regulations.

With the introduction of CE Marking and latterly UKCA, it places obligations not only on us as the manufacturer of structural steel, but also on the client and / or the principal contractor to make sure that steel products specified for a project comply with the correct execution class and carry the certification.

We have been working hard over a long period of time to attain and maintain this standard and are pleased to announce K&M Engineering to have continually achieved annual certification since its inception. This is an important step in allowing our existing and potential new customers, secure knowledge to plan their future projects with the confidence, knowing that K&M Engineering Ltd are fully capable and compliant.

K&M have continually passed our Class 2 surveillance with 100% success. Another example of how important K&M see the traceability system is to provide all its clients with security of a quality product that continually meets the legal requirement.
